Mentorship Program

Beyond the Numbers is a mentorship program devoted to demystifying the law school admission process by providing mentorship to BIPOC women throughout their law school admission journey.

A low LSAT score and/or GPA shouldn’t discourage anyone from applying to law school. It is possible to successfully matriculate into law school without these high scores – I, myself, am proof of this! Beyond the Numbers offers the tools necessary to create a tailored plan to achieve your law school goals.

Beyond the Numbers teaches the ins-and-outs of the law school admission process while dispelling common myths. BIPOC women are specifically targeted because (1) the number of BIPOC women in the legal profession is exceedingly low, and (2) BIPOC women are often the ones that have the least guidance through the admission process.

Pre-Law Mentorship FAQ

The most important thing you’ll receive from Beyond the Numbers is accountability and community from both mentors and mentees. Each month will be a different topic relative to each component of the law school application. Topics will include but are not limited to:

  • How to select law schools
  • Personal Statement
  • Diversity Statement
  • Addendums
  • Optional Statements
  • Resumes
  • Navigating wait-lists
  • How to negotiate scholarships

Additionally, I will show examples of properly and poorly written application components. You will leave each monthly workshop with homework. There will also be unofficial Zoom calls where mentors and mentees get together in a casual setting to get to know each other and answer any burning questions.

It will not. Your mentorship fee will remain at $25 for the life of the membership.

Since this is a monthly membership, previous monthly fees will not be refunded. However, you can cancel your membership at any time if you feel fulfilled within the mentorship or like you no longer need it.
